The last three weeks have been really busy for Minnesota. From working and having fun at the Great Minnesota Get Together to starting school and getting back into the old routine.
One million seven hundred and sixty-nine thousand eight hundred seventy two. 1,769,872. This is the number of 2011 State Fair attendants. Were you one of them? There is nothing better than spending an afternoon at the Minnesota State Fair with your friends and family eating delicious foods, and possibly seeing a new birth. The CHS Miracle of Birth Center and the FFA Chapter House and Leadership Center were filled with fairgoes. They were given the opportunity to sign up for free groceries for a year, ride in a tractor simulator and learn a little bit more about farm life.
The leadership center was filled with a little but more royalty this year. Region president, Travis Thamert had the opportunity to chat with Gopher Basketball Coach Tubby Smith. Also in the CHS MOBC was Mr. Swatzke who became a State Fair All Star Employee.
Members fill the streets during FFA weekend, as there were 3150 FFA exibits at the fair, and Minnesota has the largest FFA livestock show in the world. Members from all over the state exibited their animals with pride and displayed showmanship skills as well.
Over all twelve days of the fair their was excitement and curiosity filled with food, friends, concerts, and Minnesota nice. Each and every day at the fair was a new and interesting experience.
